Made by accident or by reason?

After all my birth was no mistake or even a stoke mishap, and my life is no fluke of nature. Sometimes, I wondered if my parents planned on me or not, but one thing is for sure, I know God did. He maybe not totally surprise at all on my birth. Maybe in the fact that He expected it. My life is not a fate, nor chance, nor luck, nor coincidence that you and I are breathing at this very moment.

I sometimes wondered on how did God created me? But only myself can answer the said question. Physically, He deliberately chose my race, the color of my skin, eyes, hair, and every other feature.  He custom-made my body just the way He wanted it, according to his likeness.

I’ve just wondered the things that even long before that I were concieved by my parents, I was concieved in God. He determined tha natural talents I would possess and the uniqueness of my personality. Do we have the same thing in mind?

God made us for a reason. He also decided when  we are born and how long we would live. He totally know every single detail on our life has made. He even planned the days of our life in advance, maybe choosing the exact timeof our birth and even our death.

I’d be born and live for his purpose,  for the fact that He created me because of love. Maybe even my race and nationality are no accident. God left no detail to chance.

It’s all for a purpose. Nothing in my life or in your life is arbitrary. We better always keep up in mind that all things happened for a reason. Maybe He doesn’t matter whether our parents were good, bad, or indifferent. He never does anything accidentally, and he never makes mistakes. He has a reason for everything He creates and done. Every thing that God created was done by His power, the power of His love. Even a single living thing was designed with a purpose in mind.

That’s why by the moment that I’ll be going to ask if am I an accident? That’s what I say.

The encountered visit with God

It is a cold winter and almost all the views outside the windows turns white.

This morning when I woke up to bed, I find my way immediately to the kitchen. I haven’t ate dinner last night due to lots of work. I also went home late. I’m starving and I felt so tired.

As I prepare my food, I forgot to get the bottled milk outside. I had this indulgence of milk, that is why I had this delivery every morning to have my breakfast. I open the door and get the bottled milk on a tray. I noticed something. It has a paper clipped on it. I was quite confused. I paid for a month delivery then why they gave a payment receipt. I get it to check what it is. I think I was assumed that it is a receipt. It’s a letter and there’s a message on it. I read.

To my wonderful daughter,

I’m too surprised that you worked so hard this past few days. I’m just wondering if you don’t mind if I’ll see you tonight and both have dinner in your house. I’ll be going there before six o’clock in the evening. A bread will be fine for me.

Your Father,

What? I’m surprised. God will have a visit on me. I can’t wait to see him. After that, I’d take a house cleaning operation. I want it clean when God visits. By afternoon, I went to the grocery to brought some food. I brought two pieces of bread, for me and for God. For sure He totally love this bread.

As I headed home, I take a glimpse on my watch. It’s an hour before God to come. I walk fast home and wanted to prepare the food on time. Then, out of knowing, two couple of beggars blocked my way. They’re begging some food. “My child, help this old beggar. Me and my wife haven’t eat yet since yesterday. We’re extremely hungry and can’t find way for food. I get pity on the couple. Their body is too thin and weak. I doubted to give them the breads I brought. It’s for the God who’s I wanted to offer. I think that I can have some cookies and soup when God comes home. “Here Father, get these breads and share it with your wife”. The old man says “Thank you” and after that they started to walk having those breads. I noticed his wife where clothes is silk and had some stitches on the edges. I wondered how it could warm her having those ragging clothes. It’s too cold and at any time the snow will fall. I take off my robe. Wait! Woman, have this clothes wore and hope it will warm you at the rest of this winter”. The woman had a teary eyes expressing her gratitude. Towards helping them, I’m happy to see both of them in a great condition. I feel I am warmth enough even I don’t have the robe. The air breezes a cold wind but seems unnoticeable.

I run fast way back home. I have to prepare something when God is home. I reached the doorway, I noticed a tray of bottled milk. I was surprised. Looks like the delivery boy made a delivery twice on my house. I took it and notice a paper. Oh! not again. A receipt for a second time around. I read it and it says:
My daughter,

Thank you for the wonderful meal. I really loved the bread you offered. The robe was so warm and I felt good. I hope we can have it next time. Don’t forget to drink the milk I gave. I’m always here.

Your Father,

Suddenly my tears fall. I had a brief look on my watch. It’s six o’clock. I haven’t get the idea of the things I encountered today. It is a grateful visit of God. I sleep peacefully and guarded. I feel God on me. I felt the warmth presence of the night.

Ready in preparation for the Holy week

Almost all places in the country gets a preparation on the Lenten Season. As the Ash Wednesday started, people have their different ways on how to celebrate the 40 days of the Lent Season, their different way on repentance, penitence and abstinence.

Others do go to church every Sunday, others do it daily and others do it often. Held a mass and after do a prayer and the rosary. This is the natural and common scenario in almost all of the church when the Lent Season come. Although we find this scenes in natural way as if we went to church but it is more religious observance. This substantial observance binds gravely.

The way of the cross (Also called Stations of the Cross) held on church is my favorite part at the end of the Eucharistic Ceremony. I find it so special because the 14 stations corresponds the different scenes in the Passion of Christ, represent a certain incident with a special form of devotion connected with such representations.

There are some religious beliefs in doing fasting and abstinence. Not to eat meat specially on Friday. The one daily meal only dry food, bread, salt, and vegetables were permitted, when one full meal could only be taken. We abstain from fish, meat, and from all things that come from flesh, as milk, cheese, and eggs.

I got my own way of preparation of the said Lent Season. Since I haven’t got my forehead signed cross on the Ash Wednesday, I still manage to have a personal remedy to have it then. I just pretend that I got it (Hahhahahhaha). The days of my penitence were observed under obligation throughout the Church in all Fridays and managed to go to church by Sunday.

Although many years had past by, having this old way celebration of the Lent Season still we have this religious manner to do such things. It is truly a part of the Catholic. It is a primitive practice associated with all this days. It is just where, when and what. It is where to reminisce on God’s what He has done to us, reflects on his sacrifices, whatever you may celebrate it, just keep time to remember Jesus all the things He was done. He gave His life to save us and have faith that He will come again.
